Experience vibrant melodies from the Mediterranean through masterful performances on instruments including the sandouri, clarinet, and darbuka. Event takes place at The Art Center Highland Park.

Music and Dance Around the Mediterranean, or MADAM, is a vibrant trio that takes audiences on a captivating musical journey across the Eastern Mediterranean. Experience vibrant rhythms and soulful melodies from Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and the Levant through masterful performances on traditional instruments including the sandouri, Turkish/Greek clarinet, darbuka, riq, and more. MADAM consists of Eve Monzingo, a versatile multi-instrumentalist and Eastern European and Middle Eastern folk singer, George Lawler, an accomplished percussionist, educator, and music producer who has performed in over 20 countries, and Phaedra Darwish, a passionate Lebanese-American belly dancer, singer, and musician. Together, MADAM delivers dynamic and lively performances filled with rich cultural insights, storytelling, and audience participation.

This event will be held at The Art Center, located at 1957 Sheridan Road, Highland Park. See a map here.
